R Is For Rarities

When I think about some of the rarest things in the world, one of the first things that pops into my mind is rainbows.

You can see the whisp of a rainbow above. Probably more rare than a whole arc.

But no less beautiful.
I aim to catch a double rainbow one day. I have seen others, luckier than myself, able to snap a shot, but I have yet to even see one otherwise.
Tell me have you ever seen a double arc rainbow?

  1. I have seen a few double rainbows. I don't think I've ever taken any pictures and certainly not any videos-- I don't think I'd be freaking out over it like in that one youtube video.

  2. Beautiful captures, I love to see rainbows. I have seen several double arc rainbows and somewhere in my files is a photo but the second arc is very light and a little hard to see.

  3. Hi Freda,
Beautiful subject today. I've never seen a double rainbow. Would love to have a picture of a rainbow, but have never gotten one yet. Have a great day!

  4. We see double rainbows quite often. They don't always look as clear in photos. Did you know the double rainbows are 'mirrors' of each other in colours?
Thanks for visiting my site and for your kind comments.

  5. Very pretty photos. I love rainbows, although I don't know if I've ever managed to snap a picture of one.

  6. I love rainbows. No matter how many times I see one, it's always like the first time.

Thanks for stopping by mine...I'm just now trying to catch up on what I missed while in the hospital.
