BBAW: Day Five: Saying Goodbye For Another Year

Hi people! Sorry I am late today, was super busy. Better late than never though, so here I am.
Today is an opportunity for me to share some of this year's highlights of the event, though I am sad to say, other than community and meeting new blogs, I have no highlights. BBAW always introduces you to new bloggers and books, so that's not really new. The did away with the awards, and I'm happy and sad about that. It's true, you always see the same blogs getting nominated, but man, they must work their asses off to get that nomination every year. I enjoy supporting those blogs with virtual awards. It gives an extra boost or confidence that the content you put forth readers want and enjoy. I am sad to not be able to give that nudge of love, so I hope Amy reads this, and her crew at BBAW bring it back next year.
I feel like this week went by fast, but am also glad it's over. I love participating, but sometimes it feels like work too. And with that it has it's good and bad moments. I had to stop myself a few times from saying things that might be taken different from how I intended, and it all stemmed around the post from yesterday, Pimp That Book. I can't believe how literal some people take that word, "pimp". If only I could pimp out a book, maybe, just maybe, people would be smarter..... but that can't happen. I may have just started a controversy for the "Blogging Lynch Mob" to take one out of me, but it's a harmless term when referenced with books, so lighten up! Plus, I don't scare easily so go nuts if that's your thing....
